for me, neither the 2.1.2.0 nor the patched 2.1.2.0 worked. i couldn't
connect to anything, open networks, WEP, WPA, and WPA2. i have no idea
why this is happening. only thing i can think of is the RT2860STA.dat
file i am using (defined here

me is the one that shipped with jaunty,
kernel/drivers/staging/rt2860/rt2860sta.ko. the file size is the same

i followed the instructions on http://wiki.debian.org/pata_marvell and
now my two disks are being detected as /dev/sdc and /dev/sdd. however,
i have them setup in a RAID-1 using the Marvell option ROM , in the
BIOS. so, shouldn't linux see it as one device? does that mean i am a
victim of this
i believe i went through the process of installing the patch correctly.
reason i am skeptical is because, after installing the patch, re-
compiling, and re-installing the rt2860 module, i was unable to connect
to any wireless networks. i could see them listed in network manager
but no connection
apparently, i did not quite remove all the modules. even tho the nvidia
driver compiles the kernel module, apparently it doesn't get used unless
the other modules are removed. running 'apt-get remove --purge nvidia*'
beforehand did the trick. i now have 185.18.04 installed. however, i
still
forgot to mention that using the same .gnokiirc on an intrepid 8.10
system works just fine.
maybe it has something to do with the serial emulation of the dku5
cable? just throwing it out there.

it sounds like version 185 is working then? but if you try to download
the linux 64-bit driver from nvidia through the normal channel, they
only provide version 180. rather than manually download and install
version 185, when will it show up in the hardware drivers app, so it
