i have the same problem with ati randeon 5700. I canot use propriietary
dirvers because skype crash when the video satrt, and with xorg mesa
glx does not work, and this effect ons some software...

I found a work-round for this on my Timeline 5810T - in the BIOS switch SATA to
IDE mode rather than AHCI. Everything works as expected,

after update I have the same problem., It opens but not read anything. If I
start the laptop with a cd inside it works but only with the first one, if I
change cd it does not recognized it.
I am really tired of it, it is almost 1 year that works in this way.
