after using the comment #12 the sound issue was fixed but I still heard some scratch when the laptop was startind or if the sound level was too high and I had to set upd lower. I did some tests with others distros and I had the same issue with the Mint Distro (Version 15, Ubuntu based version)

as I previously said the sound is now working:the bug has been corrected through the alsa update. But I have some problems for the laptop to detect that external speakers are plugins: the internal speaker won't be set off when I am using external speakers. Shoud I file another bug for this or

Hi, thanks for the feedback but it is not the similar issue as I can see the proper drivers output in both cases with and without headset (i ve put two screenshots to show this, sent per Email). This function stops working after the Ubuntu 12.04 installation. (done yesterday). Thank you. David
