The same (or similar) bug appeared for me on ubuntu 12.04. The system suspends/resumes if I use the nvidia proprietrary driver but resumes with black screen with nouveau. Howvever for me the supending from text mode does not work either. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu)

I can confirm this error. Writer appeared windowed, calc covered the whole screen. Also Save your changes dialog is full screen for me. I switched back to kwin (ALT+F2, kwin --replace) then openeded openoffice calc. It was full screen. I unmaximized it, then turned on the compiz again (ALT+F2,
