So that confirms it but I'm not sure how to explain it. On kernel
2.6.32, the lid DOES NOT work. however on kernel 2.6.33 and 2.6.34
(tested both) the lid will correctly function, fixing any issues, but
then my broadcom drivers will not reinstall. I get an error 10 when I
reinstall the driver.
Can i install this patch you are talking about and make it work?

I updated to the 2.6.34 and in fact it works great. good call. I then
had trouble recompiling my broadcom drivers so i went back to 2.6.32
until tomorrow. so on the hp 5101, the 2.6.32 kernel does not work...
but 2.6.34 works great.

What i meant to say was, once i go into suspend (with compiz enabled)
and i wake my Tablet PC, those title bars are gone, but if i go into
appearnce and disable desktop effects and re-enable them, it will put
the title bars back - until i suspend again.

Here is more info from me.
I renistalled Ubuntu (for unrelated reasons) and when my cam did not
work. So, I opened aMSN, ran through the config wizard (which saw my
cam fine) and then closed it and went to cheese. still not working, so
i changed the res to 800x600 (instead of the 1600x1200 it
dashua - could you, for everyone here who has never done this before,
type in a step by step we can do to try your fix? if yours seemed to
work, we can all try it and confirm it on lots of different systems.

This won't sound as technical as everything else but here is what I did
to make it sorta work
install amsn, install cheese.
open cheese and set the res to 800x600
close cheese
open amsn
connect to someone and open the cam - after doign the wizard - it will work
then cheese should work fine too.
With a bug like this, and being the only person reporting on it, do I
need to do anything to help/inform? Or just wait?

Additionally, using the terminal method, NM reports the Tablet as
Offline, therefore Firefox and Pidgin do not see a network connection.
Pidgin is unusable, but Firefox can be told to NOT work in Offline mode
using the File menu.
