Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help to improve Ubuntu. This bug has been fixed in version 0.97-28 of the grub package: grub (0.97-28) unstable; urgency=low * Remove second /sbin/update-grub warning. Apparently, it is impossible to detect /etc/kernel-img.conf syntax
