It affects me too.
If i try to start gparted with the commands pkexec gparted or
gparted-pkexec, it doesn't work.
But if i type gtk-launch gparted it works perfectly!

I have the same problem with GS on quantal. Both synaptic and gparted
show the same behavior, gksu-ing them works flawlessly.
