Okay, scratch that, I must have bonked something in the install before,
either way, I'm running strong now on the upstream.
Also, I installed the newest daily (as of ... the fifth I think?) at the
time, and regular Ubuntu not the Ubuntu-gnome flavor. So when I had
another ffec kernel panic I

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.9 kernel[0]. You will need to install both the linux-image and linux-
image-extra .deb packages.
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please
upstream is installed. No kernel panic yet but it's been five minutes or
so. However, the external mouse that I had for it (wireless usb) doesn't
work, and I'm no longer seeing any of my network hardware.
