Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.9 kernel[0]. You will need to install both the linux-image and linux-
image-extra .deb packages.

With the default kernel the screen remained blank on resuming.
With the upstream kernel [0], on resuming I got to see just the
wallpaper, followed by an error stream on the terminal. The only thing I
noticed there was 'nouveau' on every line. Then it went back to the
login prompt.
