Problem appears to be PulseAudio. The following seems to solve the flash problem:
in /etc/pulse/pulse-client.conf (PulseAudio client configuration file) change ;autospawn=yes to ;autospawn no (autospawn= Autospawn a PulseAudio daemon when needed. Takes a boolean value, defaults to "yes". I assume that this means that ALSA and not PulseAudio is being used, even though PulseAudio is standard in Ubuntu) ** Also affects: adobe-flash-plugin-tools Importance: Undecided Status: New ** No longer affects: flashplugin-nonfree (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1251888 Title: Flash stutter on 13.10 in Browser To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/adobe-flash-plugin-tools/+bug/1251888/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
