to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I used the suggestion of the dconf-editor -

I had the similar problem with Fedora 20, gnome 3.12 and I was able to
find a workaround and was able to work hipporemote. I think that the
same workaround will work with Ubuntu 14.04 but not sure you could try.

I too use HippoRemote and am experiencing the same issues! All I did was
restart my router, my iPhone, and my PC as per the the troubleshooting
instructions from HippoRemote, and still no connection. It does detect
my PC, but it will not connect.

again. I killed the instances of vino-server and then run it by
