The Ubuntu Beta release worked fine with my laptop! Sometimes the installer
seemed to freeze but after taking a good coffee and a little bit endurance the
installation progress went on. I'd say it is no longer a real bug but the
installation could be more fluent. So I think we can close the
OK, the daily live CD builds should be stable again. Can you download
the latest daily live CD (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/) and see
if you are able to reproduce this bug?

I happened to me too. Trying to install the Gutsy image of 19-Sep-2007
and 21-Sep-2007. My system is a Macbook Pro Core Duo, ATI Mobility
