currently, for ATI users it's either suspend or 3d acceleration.

I have an X40 and I experienced similar problems. Then, I repeatedly hit
return and the machine hibernated ok! Also, when awakening from
hibernation I had to press and hold return fro successful de-
hibernation! I'm writing this on a successfully hibernated computer!

customized one from Gutsy doesn't work either, though, exactly same
behaviour.

I recently upgraded to gutsy, and suspend has gotten broken for me as
well. I have a T60p with an ATI video card.
