Public bug reported: I was trying to run mongodb after an install of the official packages from mongodb.org ( see http://docs.mongodb.org/master/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-ubuntu/?_ga=1.185710826.237376734.1439890300 )
However, when trying to run the service, it reports the job is unknown... (trusty)cefn@localhost:~$ sudo service mongod start [sudo] password for cefn: start: Unknown job: mongod However, it is even listed by the status report from the service utility, so therefore cannot be an unknown job.
