I confirm. Latest Kubuntu, KDE 4.7.3, Pidgin 2.10.0.
Always happens when connecting to mobile broadband or wifi. It seems
that pidgin inly polls network manager once (after the boot) and then
just stays in that waiting state forever.

connection - I am connected via Wi-Fi and writing this post on-line, so
something's wrong. If I switch to 11.04 with the same /home, pidgin
connects with no problems. It does not, however, on 12.04. If there is

I think it works fine, now. I've reformatted and pidgin works fine.

Yes, it's still beta version bug! By the way, neither Pidgin nor Deluge nor
Nautilus (when using FTP) nor Weather report bar applet can't connect to
their servers! I think that it's global problem in Gutsy and I reported about
it, but developers ignored it and didn't fix in release. I
