Oneiric's gnome-screensaver doesn't contain actual animated screensavers
anymore, so you can't be experiencing this issue on Oneiric.

I'm testing this on Fedora 10 with Gnome 2.24.2. Seems that everything
is working well here. On a side note, I did discover that the movement
of the mouse didn't make it exit (I had to use keyboard input).

Bump this.
Worked fine on Ubuntu/Xubuntu Feisty, but on fresh install of Gutsy it
freezes exactly as described above. Randomly freezes, sometimes soon,
sometimes after many images. Not 100% sure but I think sometimes it's
come back to life after a long long pause. Can nobody make any sense of

Could someone check if this is still an issue?, since Andres was unable
to reproduce with a fairly similar software and hardware environment,
leads to think it could be solved already.

I have the exact same problem still. I am running Hardy Heron - upgraded
from Gutsy. Intel 945 onboard graphics card. GLSlideshow displays a few
images before getting stuck on one until you move the mouse to end the
slideshow. Happens consistently every time. Problem is most definitely

better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with
the development version of Ubuntu, Hardy Heron?
I would also like to add that it does the same thing on Fedora 8, so at
this point, it doesn't seem distro-specific.

I have the same problem on a Dell Inspiron, also with the Intel 945GM.
After some pictures are shown, it freezes. Also when using the
screensaver with compiz-fusion enabled, there are ugly artifacts over
the slideshow.
