Public bug reported:
The installer in 7.10 is extremely slow.
Every button click in the install wizard takes several seconds to respond. On a
modern system.
Steps:
- boot the 7.10 desktop i386 CD
- start the install wizard by clicking the "Install" icon on desktop
- click "Next" and observe how long it takes each time until the next wizard
page appears
(especially the partitioner is ultra-slow)
I tested on an Athlon XP2200+ system and Pentium D 3 GHz.
