Yea I think there are some issue in 4.12-rc3. Try 4.12-rc2 instead.

I installed linux-
image-4.12.0-041200rc3-generic_4.12.0-041200rc3.201705282131_amd64.deb
but my system failed to boot so I can't test if the bug is fixed.

v4.12 kernel[0].
