For troubleshooting, I went back into the BIOS, and put "USB HDD" as top priority as I have always had it on EVERY computer I have EVER booted from a USB device (only a few hundred), and the problem "boot error>" AGAIN It is almost (and I am just guessing here) as if grub is looking on the

It Appears to be fixed - though too soon to be sure. A new update to xwayland and xorg and similar things may have fixed it. It was somewhat inconsistent. It may be that I changed my boot order in boot devices so the "notebook Hdd" is at the top. (Not the USB Hdd). I will restart again with
