I find that it happens if I add a draw to the toolbar/panel, if that is
any help.

And I have the same problem too after upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04 on my ASUS
W6F notebook.
Unfortunately I can not login normally every time I boot :(

Forgot to mention - the dmesg attachment is from normal boot - as soon

Not sure if this is the same bug but (it sound similar) :
Sometimes (every 5-10 reboots) my computer hangs while loading gnome. The
desktop looks normal, but I cannot start/fork any process. When I switch to
console, I can login as user, start some simple programs (ls,kill,tail) but
anything
I have got the same problem with the newly installed version 8.04.
Actually, when I used previous versions this never happened to me.
In my case a full reboot will fix the problem, but I have to boot TWICE
to have the computer working.
