Man... launchpad search sucks! Apologies for the third post on this issue, but I run into this every 10 mins on so on intrepid + logitech marble mouse. I use the exact same setup at work with Hardy and things are fine. And the moment I ran a lsusb -v my mouse is dead with dmesg messages:

Thanks Pascal, but my mouse doesn't stop working altogether. It is as if the mouse has been unplugged and replugged instantly. Basically it redetects the mouse and sets it up as a new interface. These messages happen instantaneously in dmesg: [251475.626615] hub 2-0:1.0: port 2 disabled by hub
