Doesn't seem work on the current karmic beta. I have to manually change
the ordering from RGB to VRGB when I switch from laptop screen to dual
portrait external monitors. This is using the intel drivers on a GMA
4500HD card.

Works for me. You didn't specify anything about the hardware you're
using, but I tested on an -intel 965GM running hardy beta and it's
working fine. If it is still a problem for you, feel free to reopen,
but please include your Xorg.0.log.
