I've this problem too. I'm using thunderbird 2.0.0.17 and Ubuntu 8.10.
It's not allways but frecuently. What can I send you to investigate it?

I'm also having this problem, the only difference is the line:
(Details: serial 220 error_code 3 request_code 20 minor_code 0)
It happens sporadically at startup, no repeatable case have I come across so
far.
