I can't reproduce any issues with grub2 booting off a fully updated (as
of today) 19.04 amd64 pre-release in BIOS boot mode.
Some of what was posted previously was about boot issues with
(apparently incompatible) non Ubuntu versions of Grub 1 (0.99), probably
installed by one of the other OS
Hi Khairul
Here the same thing happened.
Worse than it was appearing and installing version I: 386 for machines with

and with errors, where I ended up removing everything and installing mainline

Title:
[disco-proposed]
Ok, reassigning this to grub2 since it's now confirmed that this is what
you're using.
I see that there was an upgrade of the grub2 package in your latest
post, so it's possible that the previous version of grub was buggy and
this works now only because the new version was pulled in. So not
Hi, Steve.
SORTED OUT
In the list I believe I did not find Grub2, it was late at night and I
was very sleepy. I apologize if there was any mistake on my part.
At that time, apparently the problem was solved, where there was the
update of GRUB2 on Ubuntu Disk 19.04 as of today. This way the
You have filed this bug against the 'grub' package, which is grub 0.97
and is no longer included in Ubuntu. Normally, I would reassign such a
bug report to the grub2 package, which is the current version of grub in
use in Ubuntu; but your screenshots show menu entries that do not appear
to match
One more confirmation that Kernel 5.0 is installed and version 4.19 is
in use. Is it not the version of kernel 5.0 that should be in use?
edson@edson-p6540br:~$ ls /boot | grep vmlinuz | cut -d'-' -f2,3
4.19.0-13
5.0.0-7
edson@edson-p6540br:~$ dpkg --list | grep linux-image

Here is the neofecth image showing that even 5.0 kernel is installed, it
is 4.19 that is being driven at boot time of Ubuntu Disk 19.04, where
Kernel 5.0 does not appear in the advanced options of the initial grub.
