The underquotation issue has been fixed upstream. Simple add the quotes in src/rcfile.c. However, for me the syntax without the quotes works as long as there is no space in the path. I guess, that's the case for you. About the necessity to hit ENTER: I already explained this. -- Bluefish does

Found out that default command line options mozilla -remote 'openURL(%s, new-window)' || mozilla %s causes problems when Mozilla has not been opened yet. Mozilla then mentions an error message like Firefox can't find the file at /media/hda3/html/New., while the file being worked on is called
