I can no longer replicate this problem, USB passthrough works fine.
Current configuration:
- Same HW as the original report (XPS 13 9360)
- Lubuntu 20.04.2
- kernel 5.4.0-66
- qemu-kvm 1:4.2-3ubuntu6.14.

Interesting, I've seen the Debian bug but not that there was a solution
to it really be found.

causes a crash of the guest system. Redirecting a USB drive works fine.
