I also confirm this on Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop with ATI mobility
radeon X300. Screen and Graphics does not show anything, but the real X
resolution is 1440x900. /etc/usplash.conf contains 640x480 so usplash
works but is also rough/coarse/grainy
Also numerous comments in other bug reports
This could be bug #150930 that has resurrected, but I have to check
Screens and Graphics. For sure, X is using 1024x768 like it should.
