This bug seems to be a duplicate of bug 139877 which was fixed in the
latest hardy updates (emerald 0.7.2-0ubuntu1). Can you please test and
tell us if it still happens with that version?

I took a look at the hardy's emerald package, but it requires a newer
libc6 to be installed, which is not present in the gutsy repos. Is it
safe to update both libc6 and emerald on gutsy, using manually
downloaded packeges from hardy's repo? If it is then I will give it a
try and tell if this bug
After an update at 17:13 on Sat, 8th March the problem still exists
after switching though several windows with ALT+TAB
This bug seems to be a duplicate of bug 139877 which was fixed in the
latest hardy updates (emerald 0.7.2-0ubuntu1). Can you please test and
tell us if it still happens with
cheoppy, it's absolutely NOT recommended to mix releases and cause major
breakage.
Gugiwuz, which version are you using? Can you file a bug using apport
and link it here?

I can confirm this as well. I am running 7.10 on a Dell Inspiron 9400
using nVidia drivers. It seems to happen most frequently with alt-
tabbing.

Same here on up-to-date hardy amd64. Very annoying. Doesn' t happen
every time, but very often when I switch lots of windows, like
described.

I can confirm this (though in hardy rather than gutsy). It doesn't
happen every time I alt-tab, but often enough to be irritating.
