This bug is LOW PRIORITY in my view... - not many people will use the INSTALL USING EXISTING PARTITION (non-destructive install) - the error occurs which stops the installer, but most of what is required was already done, so system has booted for me each time I've encountered this error (even

How long does it usually take to generate an initramfs on that system? The timeout was bumped up to 300 seconds (5 minutes). It seems very strange that it would take *longer* than that to run loadkeys (fast), setupcon (fast), and update-initramfs (slow but grief, not *that* slow I wouldn't think).
