The problem is cause by the emacs-extra package.
It does this:
(set-background-color black)
(set-foreground-color white)
(set-cursor-color Steelblue)

no method, just the default installation
and, i do know that there is a default-frame-alist and a initial-frame-
alist that control the different behaviors. i just think that for the
default install both should be identical which they actually are,
but the color schemes are still different
I'm going to need to see some screenshots, because I don't understand
what you mean.
