Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gamix
My system exhibits the same amixer error as reported here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24/+bug/192382. Following the suggestion there I installed gamix, but the program crashes whenever I want to use the configuration menu entry.
