Please attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Your card should be supported by
the open -ati driver, with 3D compiz too AFAIK.
The usplash resolution issue has been fixed since beta, if you install
using the livecd-installer. You can edit your /etc/usplash.conf to match
the screen resolution.
