Before ./inst_gl860 -m did you make another driver installation with

Before installing ./inst_gl860 -m I did the test installation:

Based on information from people who know more than I do about

cheese to have problems, but the kernel driver appears to be functioning

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gl860/gl860_2.6.28d9.tgz?use_mirror=.
It includes the autodetection of the sensor (not used unless you suppress your
gl860 line in /etc/modprobe.d/options), two working modes (no image
decoding-use

I never got my system frozen (and i'm on 64bits).
some apps do work, others just require PRELOAD.

Several mounths ago the images started AND STAID upside down in poorly lit
conditions. This was solved with the driver waiting for 3 images to be
The messed up image problem has not repeated since my first try. 2.6.27c is
fine
for that. Yes, the image flips over to the correct orientation after a moment.
I've only tried on 32bit so far.

It still shows upside down for a moment at the beginning, but
orientation-detection is working great! When I flip the camera around to the
back, it auto-flipped the image right-side-up.
Video recording is still very choppy (only a few disjoint seconds were
captured), and it takes 7
Hey Nol, you're about to get a bunch more testers I think :P
