I recently updated from Gutsy to Hardy. Initially I did not have this
problem, but upon boot after a system crash [due to failed suspend], I
had exactly this problem: process evolution-data-server occupying
close to 100% of one processor. After properly shutting down and
restarting, the process

I have the exact same problem. A process called evolution-data- uses
100% of one processor without any reason, making the system slow. The
problem started since login.
