Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ldap-utils
I have a 7.10 box that is able to ldapsearch my ldap server just fine (ldapsearch -x -ZZ -H ldap://192.168.132.45) but my brand new 8.04 system cannot - even with the weaker -Z rather than -ZZ. Each box has the same ldap.conf with all my certificate ducks in a row. Both systems can search over not SSL, but the 8.04 box just cannot do the TLS handshake. Since all that is different is the gnutls library and openldap it is either one or the other.... I have attached the output from a debug search of my ldap system. # lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.04 Release: 8.04 # apt-cache policy ldap-utils ldap-utils: Installed: 2.4.7-6ubuntu4.1 Candidate: 2.4.7-6ubuntu4.1 Version table: *** 2.4.7-6ubuntu4.1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.4.7-6ubuntu3 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages # apt-cache policy libgnutls13 libgnutls13: Installed: 2.0.4-1ubuntu2.1 Candidate: 2.0.4-1ubuntu2.1 Version table: *** 2.0.4-1ubuntu2.1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy-updates/main Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com hardy-security/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.0.4-1ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages ** Affects: openldap2.2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- ldapsearch + TLS fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/234348 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
