I don't want to upgrade to 8.10. I intended to stay on 8.0.4 LTS. Do you
mean to say users who opt for LTS will not have their bugs fixed ?
The problem needs to be fixed for 8.0.4 without compelling users to
upgrade. Please let me know if this is going to be fixed in LTS release.

Actually the wallpaper is 4:3 not 16:10 as you can see in the
screenshot. My mistake. Also If I maximise a window, I can't expand its
bottom below the launcher panel, but if its not maximised, I can move
the window to the grey checkerboard area cutting across/through the
