> What is the current packaging status?
The current status is that openfoam was packaged in Debian (though it is
hard to tell from the attached bug watch) and that it has been available
in Ubuntu for a couple of years

Unfortunately, it's not working. When comiling, it says: Qt 4.5 not
supported, use 4.3 instead

You can test it, if it's also working with jaunty. And if yes, you can
upload it to the ppa of the cae-team: https://launchpad.net/~cae-
team/+archive/ppa
In order to join the cae-team just ask Patrick, I think that should not
be a problem.

Hello Oli!
Is ParaFoam also working with the standard qt-library of 8.10?
Thanks,

For sure, the paraview-3.4.0 debian package from my PPA is linked
against the system qt library and has a patch for OpenFOAM-1.5.

Oh, that is really perfect, because I had really big issues with trying
to compile paraview with the new qt-libs, ending up using foamToVTK...
Really good work! Have You already posted a link to your ppa at cfd-
online.com ?
...and: would it be a problem to build a package for jaunty? I already

I've packed OpenFOAM-1.5 for Ubuntu 8.10. You can get the debian package
from my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~oli-borm/+archive/ppa
OpenFOAM-1.5 is installed into /usr/lib/OpenFOAM-1.5
In order to set the OpenFOAM paths correctly, you should add this line
to your ~/.bashrc:
startOF15=source
