Disabling the CDROM source worked for me. This allowed the driver to be
installed from the web source. Thanks.

Could you please try installing fakeroot with your Intrepid CD in your
CD-ROM drive, or try installing it after disabling the CD-ROM source.
You can do this by editing your /etc/apt/sources.list or going to System
