The downloading and installing driver... dialog stayed on for quite some time
(new 9.04 install).
I thought it had crashed but I think it was just taking long to download the
ATI drivers, after ~1min the progress bar jumped to 70% and then it completed.
No bug. Just my slow internet

No, calling /usr/share/jockey/jockey-backend as user won't work. I meant
to attach the file, so that I can compare it with the original that we
ship.
Can you still reproduce this crash, BTW? You can try this:
sudo killall jockey-backend
sudo /usr/share/jockey/jockey-backend --debug

Ah, it doesn't crash, that shows that the problem you originally
reported doesn't happen any more. I have no idea what could have
caused it in the first place.

weird,this looks like perfectly fine Python code/syntax to me. Can you
