Can you confirm whether it was listed in Jockey (Hardware Drivers)? If not,
then AMD doesn't believe this card should be working with this release. Are
you strictly referring to the packaging comments in debian/control (Which
haven't been updated in a long time)?

If ATI provides a list on the web, then the package comments could
link to it. Otherwise, yeah, no list is better than a bad list.
