I have also this bug with Evolution. Labels are not remembered and I use also an IMAP server. I use it to sort Launchpad questions I answered. Perhaps importance is low. It will simply means I will lost some of threads I'm supposed to help in Launchpad, by removing them accidentally. Could you

I and a sysadmin have done some more research into this and it seems that the problem is not with Evolution but with the IMAP server. We are using dovecot and it doesn't appear to be storing the labels in the mails. To confirm I tried setting labels with Thunderbird too, with the same problem

For receiving email I am using an imap server with ssl. If I label one of the mails in my inbox for example with personal the entry in my inbox gets a blue text color. If I shutdown my computer and start the computer again and start evolution again the message is still labeled. If I switch from

Hi I can confirm the issue is also with Ubuntu 8.10 Gutsy and Evolution 2.24.3 and can reproduce it. 1. In the inbox, select some mail and label them. 2. Go to another folder that has not been looked at recently. This will check the imap server for new mail in that folder 3. If new mail is
