Had the same problem and disk model, tried -S0 (didn't help), then -B255

Load_Retry_Count has indeed slowed down (~twice in 30 minutes), but then
Load_Cycle_Count started growing ;
I have returned the values to -B254, and, weird enough, now they grow
both, though slowly again .

Beeping has definitely stopped after I set APM to 255 (automated in a
