what's the output if you do gst-launch-0.10 giosrc
location="smb://path/in/the/server/video.type" ? it could be related to
a gstreamer bug.

My bad the error mesagge "Failed to retrieve share list from server"
popup because i use a bookmark to conect to the other machine during the
update the IP of the oder machine was changed. I change the IP and now
everything is working perfect. NOW Totem IS ABLE to play files through
smb. I guess t

If I try to run the comand totem smb://serverip/whatever.avi (using the
terminal)
I get the error
