Public bug reported:

Gnome plays the access sound during access even if the corresponding
option is disabled in Sound Preferences.

I disabled the access sound when my system was 8.04. When I upgraded to
8.10 it started to play it even if the setting has not changed and it's
still disabled.

The setting I disabled is System/Preferences/Sound/Sound/Graphical
Environment/Access. (please note that I use IT locale and that's my
translation of menus, maybe not exact).
