I upgraded to Jaunty today and was bitten by this bug: Alt-F2 didn't work, my custom terminal hot key didn't work. When I checked ccsm I saw that GNOME Compatibility was disabled. I got compiz 1:0.8.2-0ubuntu6 which is supposed to have this fix. Why didn't it work? It may be relevant to
