Hi There,
I have been using Jaunty Gnome for 5 months and never had any issue with
ALT+F2. Last night I did following things after which Alt+F2 stopped working.
removed gnome-panel using gconf-editor
played around with stalonetray
installed and removed KVM
installed Virtual Box
did lots
I upgraded to Jaunty today and was bitten by this bug: Alt-F2 didn't
work, my custom terminal hot key didn't work.
When I checked ccsm I saw that GNOME Compatibility was disabled.
I got compiz 1:0.8.2-0ubuntu6 which is supposed to have this fix. Why
didn't it work?
It may be relevant to
I installed compiz 1:0.7.9+git20090211-0ubuntu6 but Alt+F2 still does
not work.
Do I have to change anything else in order to make it work again?

You might need to manually enable Gnome integration by navigating to
System - Preferences - CompizConfig Settings Manager

Thanks Chris, your hint solved the issue.
I performed the following steps:
* sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
* In System - Preferences - CompizConfig Settings Manager category
General I enabled Gnome Compatibility
