I have the same problem with a Sansa E250. lsusb shows the device. Dmesg shows waiting to settle. unloading and reloading usb_storage makes usb_storage recognise and mount both drives. I have tried with rockbox daily build using rockbox to charge and copy by usb and also with sansa firmware -
