This particular bug was a dependencies problem.
Problems that occurred afterwards despite the presence of policykit-kde are
being tracked at bug 353278.

When i select refresh in kpackagekit it returns authentication
After an install from 9.04 Alpha 5, this bug occured.
sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude full-upgrade
installed the new package, amongst others. After a reboot, this works
fine for fetching the package cache and further updating.
However, it does not show any packages on Softwareverwaltung
kpackagekit does not work because of this bug on my updated 9.04

I am having this problem about 60% of the time when I click refresh.

What is the status of this after recent updates ?
The deps have been fixed so that kpackagekit should have all required policykit
and packagekit deps to work.
Can we close this bug ?
