Public bug reported:

Instaling 8.04.1 on my x64 system failed to set up GRUB properly. GRUB tryes to 
boot from disk 3,0 but linux (and GRUB) is installed on disk 1,0.
This was fixed by editing the boot config using the live cd to access it. But 
after an update, the changes was reverted. Furtere more i will some times 
remove disk 0,0 as it is swapable. This causes the system to again not boot, 
even with a fixed GRUB config, as the disk with Ubuntu on is now 0,0.

I used Ubuntu 8.04.1 live CD x64 to install.
