i have a clean ubuntu jaunty installation (from release). the release
not indicate that dontzap --disable should work. it does not. dontzap is
not installed and can not be installed from the regular ubuntu
repositories. how to get dontzap?
the new magic-s method does not work, as these keys
Install the package dontzap using your favorite package management tool.
The dontzap package is included by default in Kubuntu, but not in Ubuntu.

I just did an update from Ubuntu Intrepid to Jaunty on an i686 computer,
and this bug is still present - dontzap wasn't automatically installed.

I did an upgrade from Ubuntu Intrepid, not Kubuntu Intrepid. I didn't
have KDE installed. I used upgrade-manager.

dontzap not being installed is normal for Ubuntu. It's only part of
Kubuntu by default.

This is only a problem on PPA - jaunty upgrades, I just tested the
normal intrepid-jaunty upgrade and dontzap got installed for me.

I just dup'ed 349263 to this as I had the same problem. The difference
is I upgraded from intrepid-backports where the same situation occurs.
Dontzap isn't needed in Intrepid because of the default. We do need to
add it for Jaunty, so I think that we ought to have update-manager work
around this
