Perhaps the error is relateted to the south bridge? Daniel Rozo and I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 having SB600 from ATI. The south bridge of bwashed's compaq 6715b is SB600, too, if the informations I found using google are right. If that is true, at least three of us have the same south bridge.
